Maggie
Meet Maggie. She is a 17 year companion of Chet from North Carolina. This painting was commissioned for a Christmas present to the family. Chet sent me a picture of the painting framed hanging on a wall which she also shares with her predecssors. She is a cherished pet.
Penelope Pig
18 x 24 pastel on sanded paper
Penelope was also completed the weekend I spent at Tamarack. People are totally engrossed in watching as you paint animals. I find that domestic farm animals are as important and someone cat or dog. Each year I demonstrate for the Greenbrier Valley Theatre Art Auction and the folks look forward to seeing me do a colorful rooster.
Liberty
I spent the weekend before Thanksgiving demonstrating at Tamarack. This was my first painting for the weekend. A couple from Canada insisted on purchasing the painting and taking it with you. Normally, I like to take my paintings home to prepare them for framing, but they were so intent on having the painting I had to let it go. A young girl that had observed me painting the picture said "that looks like my dog Liberty", hence the name.

First Hours
"First Hours" 16 x 20 on sanded paper $500.00
This is one of my favorite photos. I love doing domestic animals and there is nothing like a newborn to tear at your heart strings.

Old Yeller
"Old Yeller" 16 x 20 pastel on sanded paper $500.00
This is my version of what I think the old curr looked liked. One of my favorite children's stories. This is the second time that I have painted this photo and love it each time that I do.

Retreat View
This was a painting that I started as a demonstration at a workshop. I started the painting with an underpainting of oil paint and followed up with pastels. Pastel on sanded paper 16 x 20 $500
Memorial Event
I recently completed a year long project that included painting the portraits of five fallen soldiers from the Western Greenbrier County. Each serviceman had their own special story and a dedication for each painting was held to honor them and their families. A re-dedication was held during the "Run to the Wall", when thousands of motorcyclists ride through the town of Rainelle, WV on their way to Washington, DC. It was a privilege to honor these brave me.
My Little Girl, Phoebe
This painting was one of two accepted into a West Virgiia Watercolor Society juried show. Love painting my little sweet dog.

Front Entrance to The Greenbrier Resort
Lobby Staircase at The Greenbrier

"Lobby Staircase at The Greenbrier" oil 11 x 14 $400.00
This is a very detailed painting done for the Christmas 2011 exhibit in the Spring Room at the resort. At the top of the stairs is a large mirror which repeats the reflection several times. The mural at the foot of the stairs was a challenge to get the details. This painting is a 11 x 14.
